Note from Col. King relative to the Hottentot Corps, as delivered to Lord Macartney Nov. 19th, 1795, [circa 1795].

Manuscript copy of a memorandum concerning the advisability and cost of establishing a "small Battalion of Hottentots" in Cape Colony. King suggests that the expense of one hundred Hottentots would be both "a savings to the Public" and a way to "meliorate" the situation of the Hottentots in the colony.
